Overview
The Office for Campus Life (OCL) coordinates a wide range of services supporting student interests and involvement. The Office for Campus Life serves as a resource for life outside of the classroom, promoting and encouraging a healthy balance between curricular and co-curricular experiences and opportunities. The staff of the Office for Campus Life is responsible for student leadership development, campus programming, student organization advising and mentoring, as well as the daily operations of the Mayer Campus Center, Hayes House, Curtis Hall and other affiliate spaces.
What You'll Do
The Associate Director for Campus Life Operations provides oversight to all administrative and operational functions within the Office for Campus Life, the Mayer Campus Center and several affiliate spaces. This includes direct supervision of 50+ pro- and para- professional staff who assist in the management of the Mayer Campus Center. The Associate Director will also handle the below duties:
- Advise on student organization leadership and event management.
- Liaise with campus stakeholders to maintain effective and productive partnerships.
- Consolidate and disperse communication through a variety of channels and to a variety of audiences.
- Monitor space and access maintenance for co-curricular spaces across campus.
- Serve as the central Office for Campus Life contact for all things related to student organization space.
- Directly supervises a full-time Operations Coordinator and part-time Graduate Assistant.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
- Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of full-time work experience in campus life or student activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education
- Experience in campus life operations, space management, planning campus events, advising and supervising students
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
- Understanding of and commitment to issues of cultural diversity and college student development
- Demonstrated leadership, advisory, organization, and management skills
Special Work Schedule Requirements:
This is a hybrid position expected to be on campus at least 4 days each week, and will require work after hours and on weekends at certain times of the year.
Pay Range
Minimum $56,600.00, Midpoint $70,800.00, Maximum $85,000.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
