THE DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), a member of the Senior Executive reporting to the Provost, is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies, policies and systems to achieve the University’s strategic goals in research and innovation.

The University seeks an inspiring, experienced and strategic leader and manager who has a broad understanding of the key current issues, challenges and opportunities for Australian research-intensive universities and research institutions.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) will have the ability to analyse developments in the overall Australian research landscape and translate this analysis into policy and outcomes in conjunction with other leaders in the ANU.

The person will need to be effective in a complex university and be able to support a whole of university research agenda working with key internal and external stakeholders, including international agencies.

The position calls for a team player and an accomplished communicator who is driven, consultative and capable of embracing change and innovation and empowering people to do great things.
