Michele H. Jackson was named in 2015 as the first Associate Provost for University eLearning Initiatives at the College of William & Mary. In this role, she identifies and accelerates eLearning opportunities and programming across campus through collaborative relationships with both academic and administrative campus stakeholders. During her tenure, online courses and degree offerings grew substantially, as did the number of faculty using technology to enhance on-campus courses. Alongside 25 years of experience in the university classroom, Jackson is an experienced administrator. In addition to serving as a department chair, she has created programs to integrate technology into teaching and learning at the department, school, and university levels. An active scholar, she is author or co-author of 30+ publications and received over $1M in research funding. Under her leadership, William & Mary is envisioning and creating new approaches to technology enhanced learning for the liberal arts.
