    We are seeking a visionary leader to support the Executive Director of Instructional Innovation in advancing our instructional technology initiatives. In this dynamic role, you will oversee managers of Instructional Technology and Digital Accessibility teams, guiding the development and delivery of innovative course materials and learning solutions that leverage emerging technologies like XR (Extended Reality) and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

     

    Your strategic planning expertise will enhance faculty support and professional development, ensuring the highest performance standards. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, managing instructional design projects, and collaborating with institutional organizations to align with our strategic goals. You will champion best practices in integrating cutting-edge technologies into our curriculum, providing valuable insights that drive engagement and enhance learning experiences.

    To support the Executive Director of Instructional Innovation and assist in representing the Instructional Solutions teams and learning technology initiatives with internal and institutional organizations. To manage assigned resources for instructional course design and production projects, technology projects and initiatives. Supervise personnel responsible for managing instructional technology, digital accessibility support to faculty and instructional designers in development and delivery of course materials, learning modules, and instructional technology activities. Provide supervisory and strategic planning support for innovative, learning technology projects.

    Minimum Qualifications


    Master’s degree in instructional technology, multimedia production, education, communications, engineering, computer sciences, or related field. Or a bachelor’s degree in the above-mentioned fields of study with work experience equivalent to a master’s degree in those same or related fields of study.


    • Considerable knowledge of the industry accepted practices, procedures, and/or processes for developing and facilitating effective and innovative training for faculty.

    • Considerable knowledge of accepted practices, procedures, and/or processes for managing a higher education team.

    • Considerable knowledge of techniques for fostering and maintaining highly effective working relationships with those responsible for managing instructional technology, digital accessibility support to faculty and instructional designers in development and delivery of course materials, learning modules, and instructional technology activities. Including quality control processes to ensure standards and compliance.

    • Considerable knowledge and understanding of learning theory and practice.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills to generate and evaluate creative new ideas and explore alternative solutions.

    • Excellent skill and expertise in technology deployment and relevant applications.

    • Excellent project management skills within in higher education environments.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various audiences, such as learners, instructors, sponsors, vendors, and team members.

    • Demonstrated ability to collect and organize data from training sessions, events or initiatives.

    • Demonstrated ability to anticipate faculty needs and anticipate challenges to technology acceptance.

    • Comprehensive experience in developing training materials and facilitating sessions on instructional technology.

    • Considerable experience developing and facilitating training for faculty.

    • Considerable experience managing a higher education team.

    • Considerable experience working with instructional technology vendors.

    • Some complex project management experience in higher education environments.


    Preferred Qualifications



    • Considerable Data analysis and visualization experience.

    • Considerable experience in instructional technology and the use of instructional technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

    • Working experience with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, AR/VR/XR or other immersive technologies, and adaptive learning systems.
