    Position Overview
    This position is responsible for providing direct supervision for a comprehensive program ensuring academic access and assistance for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include budget management, staff supervision, intake, needs assessment, referral and coordination of adaptive assistance and direct provision of adaptive academic test services.




     



    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree in related field and five years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous experience providing services to students with disabilities. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


      • Ability to work with multiple competing interests.

      • Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to staff and student populations.

      • Experience in networking across departments and programs.

      • Demonstrated commitment to diversity.

      • Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.

      • Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.

      • Knowledge in strategic planning.

      • Knowledge of laws involving students with disabilities, (ADA, 504, 508, FERPA, etc.).

      • Works well in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.



     


     

    Preferred Qualifications
    Master’s Degree in related field and 6+ years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous experience providing services to students with disabilities in post-secondary education. Knowledge of laws involving students with disabilities, (ADA, 504, 508, FERPA, etc.). Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate applicable laws and university policies, rules, and regulations governing accommodations. Experience assisting and training college students, faculty, and staff. Experience in managing large budgets. Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a strong commitment to principles of DEI. Experience working closely with university constituents. Ability to make decisions, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work with multiple competing interests. Works well in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
