    Job Summary
    The Auburn University Harbert College of Business seeks a Manager of Communications and Marketing to promote Auburn University and the Harbert College of Business to external stakeholders through public relations, media relations and story telling. This critical role will help expand the teaching, outreach and research capabilities of the university by increasing awareness about the outstanding work of Auburn’s faculty, staff and students.

    Essential Functions
    The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

    Manages the daily public and media relations functions in relation to promoting the college and university. Serves as a liaison with local, regional and national media representatives.
    Manages the implementation of communication and public relations strategies in conjunction with the communications and marketing director.
    Writes and edits the release of information intended for promotion of the college, publications and distributes to the media.
    Writes marketing materials and edits marketing materials.
