Overview
The Division of Student Services within the School of Dental Medicine is comprised of the Admission Office, Student Affairs Office and the Office of Enrollment Services and Financial Aid. The division is responsible for providing student-related services for approximately 1000 students enrolled in pre-doctoral and post-doctoral education programs within TUSDM. The Admissions Office manages the application process for 4,000 DMD applications, 1000 postgraduate (PG) applications and 600 International DMD (DIS) applications each year. This includes coordination, management, and participation in recruitment, interviews, selection, and pre-matriculation process of all candidates. The office staff communicates with multiple entities within and outside the School of Dental Medicine to provide general information and detailed reports related to the admissions process and outcomes.
What You'll Do
In coordination with Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions reviews applications, and works as part of the Admissions Committee to determine status of each applicant. The Assistant Director manages the Post-Graduate application process including serving as liaison to the PG program directors to ensure the application process runs smoothly. The Assistant Director of Admissions provides general communication support for the department. This position supports and assists with the organization, coordination, and implementation of all internal Admissions Office procedures including, but not limited to, the annual review, production of publications and application materials, processing and reviewing admissions applications, updating SIS, Webadmit, and departmental database, generating computer reports, assisting with facilitation of Admissions Committee meetings and interviews, communicating outcomes to applicants, and corresponding with accepted and waitlisted applicants. The Assistant Director serves as liaison to ADEA PASS application contact. The Assistant Director of Admissions performs other functions as required by the Director of Admissions and the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs.

Basic Requirements:
- Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of related admissions experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and student information systems.
- Solid communication skills.
- Strong problem solving ability.
- Effective public speaking skills.
- Ability to work with multiple constituencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Webadmit and/or a customer relationship management system.
- Experience working with graduate level students.
- Experience working within a multi-departmental academic environment.
Pay Range
Minimum $52,600.00, Midpoint $65,750.00, Maximum $78,900.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
