Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Coordinate all aspects of group fitness instructional programs include, but not limited to developing class offerings, determine group fitness scheduled of classes and events, secure facility reservations, and hire qualified instructors.
• Supervises student staff which includes hiring, training, evaluating, and providing professional development opportunities. The Assistant Director will oversee the continuing education of group fitness staff.
• Supervises and provides mentorship to professional staff working in group fitness programming
• Plans and implements short and long-term goals, programs, budgets, and equipment needs for group fitness
• Develops assessment tools and reports to track outcomes and support goal and policy revisions
• Collaborates with Assistant Director-Risk Management on risk management and emergency action plans and education for group fitness programs.
• Supports event planning and partners with marketing to promote group fitness programs
