Job Summary
The Assistant Director assists in the direction and oversight of a variety of student-led programs initiatives. This Assistant Director role works to supervise and advise the staff and students for all Student Media groups (The Auburn Plainsman, Eagle Eye TV, WEGL 91.1, The Glomerata, The Circle). The purpose of this position is to supervise all Student Media staff and student leaders while also assisting the Director of Student Involvement in leading Student Involvement collectively, supporting with communications and marketing efforts and assessment processes.
Essential Functions
Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

Providing comprehensive direction and guidance to staff and student leaders that are responsible for student-led media organizations.
Supervising full-time staff members.
Serving as a support and resource to students for all aspects of their programming (planning, publicity, production, problem resolution, revenue generation, etc.).
Supporting an Administrative Assistant in managing all business-related activities.
Assessing and maintaining risk management and compliance practices.
Assisting with Student Involvement assessment and communications and marketing efforts.
Participating in staff trainings and meetings.
Participating on committees and other programs on behalf of Student Affairs.
This position requires an applicant who is willing to work long hours, with occasional nights. and weekend hours. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Student Involvement..
