As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Vice President of Klipsch Educators College and Innovation in K-12 Education. The Vice President of Klipsch Educators College and Innovation in K-12 Education will promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by coordinating and implementing quality programs designed to increase the talent, diversity, and number of undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Marian University’s Klipsch Educators College.
The Vice President will report directly to the President and Chancellor & COO on strategic initiatives and to the Provost and senior leadership team to collaborate with university leaders to ensure programs reach goals and are delivered in a high-quality manner throughout the school year and during the summer. This position will be responsible for putting in place the key performance indicators to measure and monitor progress as well as implementation oversight of the related academic programs and initiatives to ensure successful outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Vice President of Klipsch Educators College and Innovation in K-12 Education is a senior leadership position responsible for supporting the expansion and reach the Klipsch Educators College (KEC) and Center for Vibrant Schools (CVS) through community and school partnerships and collaborations. Vice President of Klipsch Educators College and Innovation in K-12 Education will be the lead agent to 1) increase enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs and ensure high academic quality, 2) launch the Literacy Institute (name TBD), and 3) secure resources to accomplish the work of the Klipsch Educators College and Center for Vibrant Schools. This person will oversee a strong and talented team including the dean of the Klipsch Educators College and the assistant vice president of the Center for Vibrant Schools.
Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
Specifically, the Vice President will focus on the following:
1.) Talent Recruitment and Development
a. Grow KEC enrollment from 500 to 1,000 students by 2030 (undergraduate and graduate programs)
b. Leverage existing school partners to increase the reach and awareness of Marian University and the CVS
c. Coordinate with the Office of Enrollment, Marketing, and Communications to drive increases in applications from students from partner schools
d. Ensure KEC and CVS have high quality programs as evidenced by student academic outcomes
2.) Launch the Literacy Institute (name TBD)
a. Assist the Center for Vibrant Schools and the Literacy Director with launching a new Literacy Institute at Marian University
b. Gain support from local, state, and national leaders
c. Add academic and training programs that result in revenue generation from tuition and direct school support
d. Secure philanthropic resources for the Institute and ensure goals are met, including increasing student academic outcomes
3.) Resource Expansion
a. Partner with the President and Chancellor on strategic growth and the Office of Institutional Advancement and Klipsch Educators College Board of Visitors to secure resources for:
- a new Klipsch Educators College building
- significant increase in annual and endowed scholarship gifts to support KEC students
- endowed faculty positions and new and expanded strategic programs
b. Continue to raise the profile and “brand” of the KEC through involvement in local, state, and national organizations and through the marketing initiatives.
