The purpose of this position is to independently coordinate fundraising events and activities in an effort to foster a continuing relationship between the College of Health Professions and the College of Nursing and their respective alumni/friends. The primary responsibilities of the job are to encourage alumni, friends and foundations/corporations to give to the two Colleges through their time, service, and monetary gifts. Specifically, this position is responsible for insuring the Colleges annual fund goals are met each fiscal year, the two Colleges campaign goals are met and the two Colleges major donor events are planned and orchestrated successfully. Further, this position assists in facilitating donor communication between their alumni and friends and the Colleges, and between the Colleges and the University. The position works with the deans of the Colleges on other duties as needed. The Colleges deans will work with central advancement administration and the Director of Development on coordinating development, alumni, and communications/marketing efforts.

Required Qualifications
A bachelors degree from an accredited university/college and two years of experience working in fundraising/development/advancement, direct sales, business development, non-profit fundraising and/or activities where relationship building is essential or other related business experience are required. Candidates with a master's degree are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and public speaking skills. The incumbent should be creative and energetic and possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The candidate must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends to facilitate cultivation of constituents. The successful candidate must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the Universitys carrier.
