The University of Pittsburgh Department of University Communications is seeking a qualified candidate for the Marketing Manager position.The incumbent will work in a collegial team environment to create publications and other promotional materials that communicate effectively with target audiences.
Responsibilities will include managing the development of view books, brochures, annual reports, event and fundraising campaigns, trade booth displays, and various other promotionalmaterials aimed at advancing the University’s progress, success, and top international reputation. This position requires strategic planning and helping University clients communicate effectively with their target audiences to achieve institutional goals through communication and marketing strategies and a range of creative tactics. The incumbent will determine the needs of University clients and their audiences, how best to meet those needs, and measurement of the results.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to develop and build positive relationships with all clients and their audiences, expert writing and editing skills, an aptitude for creative, strategy-based thinking, the ability to articulate concepts and demonstrate leadership in producing promotional materials, and a keen interest in emerging technologies and tactics incommunications.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English writing, journalism, ora related field preferred. Requires demonstrated ability to write and/or edit effectivemarketing copy.
