The Prospect Development Team at Tufts University has an opening for an Associate Director of Prospect Development.  The Associate Director of Prospect Development will provide information to maximize the philanthropic potential of Tufts’ prospect pool.  This position will also work as a strategic partner to forward the fundraising efforts of an assigned school and/or program by providing comprehensive information and data analyses.  The position will work closely with the school(s) and department(s) to design and implement prospect identification projects with the goal of significantly increasing the university's prospect pool. In addition, the Associate Director will work closely with the Associate Director of Prospect Management to assist with a robust and comprehensive prospect management system.  The position will generate prospect analyses and reports in a variety of formats for development staff and for university administrators using a variety of online resources.

The Associate Director will supervise one to two prospect researcher(s) and any freelance researchers employed by the department.  She/he/they will also assist with the editing and review of all research products produced by the OPD team.   She/He/They will also assume management of the OPD team in the sr. Director’s or Sr. Assoc Director’s absence.  She/He/They will assist in hiring and training of all new research employees, and in planning and coordinating special training for current staff.  Additionally, the Associate Director will oversee and coordinate the undergraduate and graduate parent research process from wealth screening to research assignments, editing and through to prospect assignment.  This position may focus on the management of all international research requests, with a focus on Europe and Asia, depending on skillset.
