Director, Center for Leadership and Service

 

Under the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director of the Center for Leadership and Service (Director 3) is responsible for the administrative leadership, programs, operational management and assessment of the Center.  The Director has direct supervision of the Leadership Institute, Community Service Initiatives, Greek Affairs and Student Involvement. The Director provides administrative leadership for the Co-Curricular Transcript Programs and the Cougar Climb; manages Kean University’s student involvement database; provides administrative leadership to ensure student group compliance with University standards; and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of three years of professional experience in student leadership development is required. A Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or a related field is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written); strong organizational skills; the ability to integrate new technologies into daily processes; and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
