Job Description

Manager of Online & Corporate Education | Office of Graduate Education 

 

Summary

The Manager of Online & Corporate Education is responsible for recruitment, admissions, yielding, enrollment, and student support for StevensOnline students. The Manager will work collaboratively with other team members to manage all elements of the StevensOnline student experience while working towards the university’s ambitious StevensOnline recruitment goals. The Manager will work closely with faculty and staff colleagues across the university, as well as with external partners to ensure that the university is providing a best-in-class experience for StevensOnline students from recruitment through graduation. The Manager will report to the Director of Online & Corporate Education. This role has primary responsibility for StevensOnline, but the incumbent will also be cross-trained in order to serve as a backup for corporate education activities as needed. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Work closely with the Director of Online & Corporate Education and relevant academic leaders to develop and execute strategic recruitment plans for StevensOnline. This includes obtaining and making effective use of prospect and inquiry lists; hosting online and in-person recruitment events; and communicating with prospective students through Slate CRM and other means. 

  • Admissions: Ensure a high-quality applicant experience by ensuring the application and admissions process is effective and efficient. This includes guiding students through the application process; following up on applications that are awaiting submission, payment, or materials; coordinating the application review process; releasing admissions decisions; ensuring timely submission of admissions reply forms; and ensuring students are assigned an advisor and receive their network credentials upon admission. 

  • Yielding:  Under the guidance of the Director of Online & Corporate Education, design and execute efforts to yield StevensOnline students. This includes designing and executing effective text message, calling, and email campaigns; communicating with accepted students by phone, text, chat, and email to drive enrollments; and participating in and/or hosting yielding events.  

  • Enrollment: Oversee and continuously improve processes and workflows relating to the enrollment of new and continuing StevensOnline students. This includes assigning students to cohorts; connecting students with faculty for advising and study plan questions; ensuring the timely processing of transfer credits; and guiding students on course selection and registration.

  • Billing: Oversee StevensOnline student billing activities; including creating and maintaining StevensOnline cohorts in Workday; ensuring the accurate application of StevensOnline discounts; and helping students understand their tuition bills. 

  • Student Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for StevensOnline students. This requires continuously collaborating with a number of academic and administrative units to ensure StevensOnline students are effectively supported throughout their academic journey. 

  • Systems, Data & Analytics: Work with relevant staff within and beyond the Office of Graduate Education to ensure that policies, procedures, and processes in Slate and Workday meet the needs of StevensOnline students with the goal of continuous improvement and optimization. Lead census reconciliation efforts for StevensOnline students. 

  • Surveys, Website, & Social Media: Oversee the administration of regular surveys to StevensOnline students. Analyze, disseminate, and act on relevant survey findings. Prepare reports on StevensOnline student data as requested. Work with the Assistant Director of Admissions Operations to develop and execute a communications plan that drives StevensOnline enrollments and engages StevensOnline students. Continuously monitor internal and external web pages to ensure StevensOnline data is up-to-date.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 

  • 6+ years of experience in a university setting, including in the areas outlined above. 

  • Strong organizational skills along with the ability to thoughtfully balance conflicting priorities. 

  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and tasks to meet varying deadlines. 

  • Effective and professional communication skills (email, phone, and in person). 

  • Confident, mature, competent, and professional demeanor. 

  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, and corporate partners.

  • Able to connect quickly and meaningfully with prospective and current students. 

  • Advanced knowledge of Slate CRM and all Microsoft Office programs.

  • Experience using publishing and page layout software, such as inDesign.  

  • Experience managing web pages and social media accounts.
