Overview
Under general supervision, designs and implements events and/or programs with a primary aim of broadening and deepening engagement with alumni, students, parents and friends of the school or university. Identifies, recruits and trains student and alumni leadership volunteers. Leads and guides Alumni Association Executive Council, regional alumni chapters, and committees. Seeks opportunities to collaborate with other university partners.
What You'll Do
Under general supervision,
- Designs and implements alumni events and/or programs for regional chapters in one or more schools at the university.
- Establishes goals and strategies with manager.
- Plans and implements comprehensive alumni events in partnership with chapter leaders and/or other university partners, including design of program activities, organization of logistics and on-site event management.
- Requests bids, negotiates pricing and arrangements and works with faculty and other invited speakers.
- Manages class reunions for school including building agendas, managing meetings, activities and progress toward reunion goals and events. Partners with Annual Fund staff to set annual fund goals. Develops marketing plans and shared reunion brands.
- Develops chapter and association networks and initiatives including recruiting committee members and managing elections and appointments. Advises and develops meeting agendas, procedures, and provides guidance on programs and events.
- Identifies, recruits and trains volunteers for class reunions, alumni programs and organizations. Conducts volunteer and leadership training and workshops, manages online resources and develops volunteer recognition programs.
- Implements outreach and communication strategies to engage alumni, encourage involvement and strengthen connections to school. Drafts alumni e-newsletters and content for alumni websites, maintains Facebook pages and implements other social media strategies for alumni and chapters.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
- Knowledge & Skills as Typically Acquired Through Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of Related Experience
- Knowledge and experience in alumni relations.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/similar systems and experience with database systems.
Some nights and weekend work, some travel.
Pay Range
Minimum $51,400.00, Midpoint $64,250.00, Maximum $77,100.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
