Two Positions
Associate Director of Admissions - Freshman and Associate Director of Admissions - Transfer
Kean’s Office of University Admissions seeks two Associate Directors to lead its Freshman and Transfer Admissions recruitment teams. Under the supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, each Associate Director (Associate Director 3) manages all aspects of either freshman or transfer admissions and their recruitment processes, including recruitment plans, recruitment coverage, application processes, application file review and related work as required. Additionally, the Associate Director of Admissions - Transfer manages the transfer credit evaluation process.
The Associate Directors are key members of the Admissions team who work in collaboration with other managers within the division to provide essential recruitment, admission and marketing outreach in order to achieve enrollment goals. These positions require travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours for recruitment activities and outreach initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; two years of professional experience in admissions in higher education; a valid driver’s license in the State of NJ; and transportation for recruitment travel is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Essential job functions include driving and the ability to lift, handle and transport recruitment materials and equipment over short and long distances. Traveling will require the ability to drive for short and extended periods of time. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must also have knowledge of computer databases, information systems and new technologies, including social media, virtual platforms and higher education CRM systems (experience with Ellucian and Slate is a plus).
