Associate Director of Online Advising

The Associate Director of Online Advising (Associate Director 2) in the Office of Transformational Learning reports to the Director of Online Admissions and KEANetwork. The Associate Director is responsible for managing advisement processes for online students and will provide operational leadership, direction and guidance for advisement processes, including managing project timelines/deliverables and developing plans for online advising and student services, retention and engagement driven initiatives.

The Associate Director is dedicated to connecting online students with information specific to course of study needs and curricular planning assessment to encourage informed decisions for offering, enrolling in and completing educational courses. The Associate Director manages high level assignments and allocation of advising resources, including coordinating initiatives that involve staff in other departments; provides direction and guidance on high priority advising projects/initiatives; manages transfer student processes; and does related work as required.

This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. This is not a remote position and requires physical presence on campus as determined by the Supervisor.

Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of three years of professional experience in higher education providing student support services or performing academic advising is required. Experience managing student support services, including working with adult learners is preferred. Online teaching experience in higher education is also preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
