The School of Medicine of the LSU Health Sciences Center is taking applications for the position of Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs.  Reporting to the Dean for the School of Medicine, the Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs is responsible for the management, oversight and coordination of all fiscal operations within the School. Incumbent advises the Dean on all fiscal matters and oversees the fiscal activities of all departments (and centers) within the School. This position coordinates the fiscal activities of the School of Medicine with those of the LSUHSC, LSU Healthcare Network, and the LSU Systems Office. Incumbent is responsible for the implementation and oversight of fiscal controls related to the administrative and fiscal operations of the Departments of the School of Medicine in New Orleans.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparation and oversight of the operating budget, monitoring cash flow and expenditure plans, and fund management; interaction with department heads and business managers as well as LSUHSC Administration for development and coordination of annual comprehensive departmental budgets that support the School of Medicine mission; broad oversight and monitoring of School expenditures in accordance with State fiscal rules and University fiscal policies; providing leadership for the development and implementation of policies and strategies related to financial activities, compensation, and resource allocation within the School of Medicine; and providing financial oversight of LSU Health Care Network (LSUHN).
