The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is accepting applications for a Specialist, Communications positions at level I, II, or III, depending on the candidate’s combination of education and experience. This position is responsible for creating communications, marketing and promotional material delivered through various mediums for the National Center for Asphalt Technology.

Essential Functions
Writing and editing content for the National Center for Asphalt Technology’s website and other affiliated websites; brochures and reports; and newsletters, news releases and features for both traditional and social media outlets; letters; nominations; video scripts and more.

The ability to work with engineering faculty and staff to present their research fluently to a wide audience is a strong consideration, as well as the ability to present the NCAT in an engaging and innovative manner to its various constituency’s stakeholders.

The candidate is expected to build and maintain relationships with journalists, develop story pitches for print, online, radio and broadcast news media, and assist with media visits to campus.

Strong consideration will be placed on those who also have experience with the creation and management of internal and external marketing campaigns across print and digital platforms
