UVU is seeking a Clinic Director to oversee all aspects of the operation of the UVU Community Mental Health Clinic including responsibility for clinic budget, record maintenance and confidentiality, supervision of clinic staff and student interns, and updates to clinic website. Oversees the assignment of cases and manages the clinic waitlist. Oversees implementation of clinic policy and procedures and assures compliance with HIPPA, state and federal laws, and university policies. Creates detailed action plans to organize and schedule tasks effectively. Supervises undergraduate practicum and internship positions within the clinic. Collaborates with UVU Directors of Clinical Programs, Directors of Clinical Education to ensure quality experiences for student interns.
Upholds high ethical standards in clinical practice. Values diversity and inclusion and promotes cultural competency. Maintains knowledge of current behavioral health services and best practices regarding assessment, treatment and consultation, diagnostic principles, and diverse modalities of counseling. Understands the needs of UVU clinical graduate students, UVU clinical graduate programs, the local clinical population, and the availability of community resources. Builds and maintains positive relationships with community providers, partners, and referral sources. Coordinates with other college and university entities (e.g., clinical programs, academic departments, deans' office, etc.) to assure the clinic is meeting needs and requirements. Assists with planning conferences, summits, and events connected with mental health needs and education.

Graduation from an accredited institution with a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work; AND a qualifying license to practice with the Utah Mental Health Professional Practice Act, plus at least 1 year of mental health counseling in a clinic setting.
