Managing Assistant Director of Recruiting

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Recruiting, the Managing Assistant Director 2 will manage the recruitment of faculty and managerial employees for Kean University.  The Managing Assistant Director will manage the day-to-day work operations of their assigned recruitment area(s) and oversee the full cycle of recruiting from position approval to onboarding. Working with the Associate Director, the Managing Assistant Director of Recruiting will create policies and procedures and streamline processes; oversee Workday data entry and workflow; act as liaison with recruiting departments; assist with special projects and assignments; and perform other related work as required. The Managing Assistant Director must ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, university policies and procedures and follow applicable bargaining unit agreements. This employee must have attention to detail and the ability to organize their assigned workload and determine priorities.  This position requires some travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of professional experience in human resources is required. A Master’s degree and three or more years of recruiting experience in a human resources office is preferred. Candidate must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Google products and HRIS. Workday experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills and oral and written communication skills are essential.
