Overview
The Tufts University Advancement Division is dedicated to supporting the mission of Tufts by strengthening relationships that inspire loyalty and support for Tufts. Advancement is fully in service to the academic agenda of the university and works in close collaboration with the President, Provost, and Deans and academic leadership to ensure that the university’s teaching and research missions receive the support of alumni, parents, friends, and organizations.
What You'll Do
- Under limited supervision, may do some or all of the following, develops, implements and manages a comprehensive donor recognition, communication and/or stewardship program to support strong strategic relationship with potential and existing donors.
- Under limited supervision, writes and designs reports and donor communications including acknowledgement letters, for a school or unit.
- May write and design stewardship reports for donors in a school or unit. Sets schedule of annual reports, narrative and endowed, and ensures data integrity for endowed financial reports for a school or unit.
- May develop strategies and implements recognition activities for donors through events, media, video, etc., for a school or unit.
- May work with school leadership and department administrators to ensure appropriate usage of donor funds.
- May develop naming opportunities for a particular project in a school. Works with vendors and development officers to secure approvals for signage. Tracks named space opportunities and commitments for a particular project.
- Establishes goals and strategies with manager and assists with development of priorities for unit.
Participates in and leads special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- May train and mentor or supervise staff and provide input and recommendations on hiring decisions and performance reviews with manager.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills as Typically Acquired Through Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of related experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in stewardship and donor relations
- Advanced interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent writing and communications skills
- Demonstrated track record of developing donor communications and/or recognition programs
Pay Range
Minimum $70,000.00, Midpoint $87,550.00, Maximum $105,100.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
