St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Esports Head Coach. The head coach will embrace the responsibility of building and maintaining a program respected for its commitment to the mission and core values of St. Edward's University, while representing the program in accordance with NACE, TESPA and institutional rules and regulations.
For consideration: Baccalaureate degree is required with Master's Degree preferred. Two (2) to three (3) years of head coaching experience in a collegiate environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated record of promoting the academic success of student-athletes. Knowledge of and experience in recruiting. Evidence of working/relating effectively with student-athletes of diverse races and cultures. Evidence of complying fully with NCAA regulations. Possession of a valid unencumbered driver's license and the ability to travel both locally and nationally. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal background check is required.
The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the Esports program, to include: creating and communicating the vision of a program seeking to reach unprecedented levels of success, implementation of the program vision, successfully organizing and implementing a comprehensive recruiting and retention plan, supporting student-athlete success in all areas of the student experience, integrating the program into the campus community, developing a successful camp/clinic program, supervising practice and managing matches, management of resources provided by the University which supports the essential components of the program and being actively involved in fundraising to enhance resources for the program.
