Continuing Education is seeking an innovative relationship builder to achieve its mission of educating students of all ages in art and design with high quality, accessible programs. In this newly created position, the Assistant Director will lead the student experience across all CE programs. Working directly with students across ages and abilities, this leadership role will both facilitate outside of the classroom experiences such as ordination + on boarding, community building, networking, and supporting students throughout their CE journey.
Under the direction of the Interim Associate Director, the Assistant Director ensures the successful student-centered environment and ensures a positive student experience for all CE programs. The Assistant Director serves as the central point of contact for students and parents in order to effectively implement a positive programmatic experience and to resolve challenges. The Assistant Director leads the planning, implementation and assessment of all CE student and graduate community-building initiatives such as orientations, programming, trips, and networking events. And works alongside CE staff to ensure execution. The Assistant Director also serves as a point of contact for all student behavioral and grievance concerns, and coordinates providing appropriate support and resources utilizing campus partners, as necessary. The Assistant Director oversees CE student code of conduct policies and procedures, including the updates and communication of the emergency forms, CE student handbook and other student life-related materials.
