The College of Engineering at theUniversity of Nevada, Reno seeks applications for the following positions:
- The Associate Dean, Faculty and Academic Affairs assists the Dean in matters relating to faculty and academic program affairs. The Associate Dean is expected to plan, promote, and develop innovative practices across the college to enhance an environment that supports faculty and academic excellence inalignment with the vision of the Dean and mission of the University. This position serves to support faculty development, training and mentoring, as well as academic related processes such as annual evaluations, reviews toward tenure,and promotion and tenure applications. Additionally, the position supports academic program affairs to include the direction of undergraduate curriculum and program development and oversight of activities relating to student success and advocacy in alignment with strategic initiatives. This position reports directly to the Dean of the College.
- The Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Affairs assists the Dean in matters relating to research and graduate program administration of the College. The Associate Dean will serve to advance the strategic research mission of the College by implementing strong junior faculty research development and mentorship programs, identifying strategic research opportunities, and developing internal processes, which enhance efficiency surrounding research needs. This position will serve to support the University’s R1 statusand future strategic initiatives, and manages the Engineering Research Office. The Associate Dean will support graduate student research affairs with emphasis on growth of graduate programs, recruitment, andretention in alignment with the College’s strategic initiatives. This position reports directly to the Dean of the College.
