Tufts University Advancement team has an opening for an Associate Director of Development. This position will fundraise for The Fletcher School. The Associate Director of Development will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 180 major prospective donors to The Fletcher School. S/he will work collaboratively with the Senior Director, Director of Development, and the development team to create and implement strategies for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospective donors and articulating the mission, priority needs and strategic visions of The Fletcher School. The Associate Director of Development will support the Senior Director and development team in other various capital fundraising efforts and initiatives and will be required to participate and plan relevant domestic and international trips, receptions, and other events for prospects and donors.
The mission of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the Fletcher School is to serve the community by:
Raising annual and capital funds to meet the school’s strategic priorities.
Stewarding all donors so that impact and return on the investment is both timely and clear.
Creating and sustaining long-term, relevant relationships with the school’s nearly 9,000 worldwide alumni as well as friends, including supporting approximately 72 domestic and international alumni clubs, administering world-class reunion program
The University Advancement Division (UA) is a comprehensive development and alumni relations enterprise with a staff complement of approximately 200 FTE. Functional units within UA include development/fundraising, alumni relations, stewardship and donor relations, advancement communications, special events, gift processing, research, prospect management, gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, information systems and management and infrastructure services. UA’s mission is to build strong relationships with Tufts University’s constituents, match donor interests with the University’s needs and priorities, and secure the financial resources necessary for Tufts to achieve excellence in teaching, research and scholarship.
