Director of the Office of Accreditation and Assessment

 

Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Administration, the Director of the Office of Accreditation and Assessment organizes, plans and directs the assessment of instructional processes and institutional outcomes and provides leadership to sustain a campus-wide environment of inquiry and culture of assessment. The Director will work closely with faculty, staff and University administration to develop and implement comprehensive programs of assessment designed to meet both institutional strategic goals and accreditation standards and participate in professional development activities to remain abreast of current developments and best practices in assessment and external accreditation. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours and some travel as needed.

 

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Master's degree and four years of professional experience in an institution of higher education working with academic and/or institutional assessment is required. An earned doctorate is preferred and may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Candidate must have experience with the following: student learning outcomes assessment methods and instruments in higher education; institutional assessment methods and instruments in higher education; quantitative and qualitative data collection; statistical and analytical research methods; report preparation; and knowledge of regional higher education accreditation standards and national accrediting organizations in higher education. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
