Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Assist with the operations and supervision of the Office of Resource Development and External Relations and staff.
Assist with management and reporting for scholarships and grants
Develop and manage the day-to-day activities related to alumni, donors, and other external stakeholders
Develop and track metrics to measure success for alumni annual giving and trends.
Develop regular communications with Class Representatives for honoring Class Giving Programs
Prepare correspondence to alumni and donors, as needed
Generate reports on donations and alumni activities.
Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and documents
Plan and attend alumni receptions and other outreach events
Ensure preparation and distribution of all documents are accurate, professional, and timely.
Maintain and keep current information databases related to alumni, donors, and engagement
Serve as liaison to the Tuskegee University’s Office of Advancement and Development for reporting and agreements.
Develop sponsorship program and related giving levels
Define, plan, and execute the creation of engagement and marketing materials
Prepare documents and follow-up on procurement related activities
Serve as a member of the TUCVM Annual Veterinary Medical Symposium Core committee
Support the activities of the TUCVM Scholarship Committee
Management and update of TUCVM social media accounts
Submit donor and alumni spotlights to marketing for publications
Work collaboratively with TUCVM administration, staff, faculty, students, and organizations
Serve on team to assist with TUCVM website updates
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required in business management, marketing and communications preferred. Five or more years of professional work experience in higher education across areas as development operations, HR, marketing, event planning, program management, and public relations.
Demonstrated effective management skills -leadership, planning, organization, evaluation, and effective communication and ability to produce detailed reports.
Microsoft Office and social media platforms proficient with strong database management skill; Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to supervise and lead and train staff and/or students.
Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate a range of special events
Ability to design and write promotional material and the subsequent implementation
Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers.
Ability to develop, prepare, and deliver effective education programs, seminars, and workshops
Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
Commensurate with education, training and experience
