Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide invites applications for Senior Enrollment Counselor in the Enrollment Operations Department. The Senior Enrollment Counselor represents the university at educational fairs, tradeshows, and in-office conferences with walk-in prospective students as well as other post-secondary enrollment counselors to facilitate new enrollments for the institution (both non-degree and degree seeking). Working with the Enrollment Operations Department, the Senior Enrollment Counselor assists with the development of recruitment plans to meet targeted projections by implementing innovative as well as effective recruitment tactics and initiatives. The Senior Enrollment Counselor is responsible for: creating and maintaining relationships with prospective students through application completion; assisting prospective students inquiring about various educational opportunities available through the Worldwide Campus; maintain department handbook; manage projects as assigned; providing support to all Enrollment Operations Center (EOC) Enrollment Coaches, handling lead escalations from the EOC; providing required knowledge base updates to the designated personnel; and assisting other departments such as admissions and advising as required. This position supports excellence in student services at every opportunity and seeks to continuously maintain a healthy relationship with university, military, and corporate affiliations. All SEC’s are required to utilize multiple resources and tools throughout their day to day activities for the purpose of effective recruitment.

Recruitment:
Provide accurate, continuous, timely, friendly, and courteous follow-up to prospective student inquiries via email, SMS texting, and phone
Proactively increase conversion of prospects to applicants, by meeting or exceeding overall targets and projections posted monthly
Assist with all program and campaign related initiatives in order to enroll and retain prospect and student population
Provide consistent and timely follow-up with leads received at various external venues
Maintain current body of knowledge related to admissions, degree curriculum, policies and procedures, financial aid, and veteran’s benefits
Fully utilize the CRM software to ensure a high-level of customer service follow-up and tracking
Provide necessary back-up with lead management to include daily accountability of postcard contacts, Go Army and ConApp leads
Generate an increase of quality enrollment through recruitment efforts as outlined in the recruitment annual strategic plan
Meet with prospective students and help them establish a comprehensive approach to achieving their goals of higher education
Be familiar with residential campus offerings and admission information
Assist international prospects to include recruitment and marketing efforts
Participate in call campaigns as determined by the Director, Enrollment Operations
Represent the University professionally, ethically, and accurately when interfacing with all internal and external customers
Facilitate call campaigns and initiatives

Decision Making:
Elevate student issues as necessary
Elevate all other university related inquiries as necessary

Trade Show/Educational Fair Representation:
Travel to trade shows, companies, and military installations to recruit prospective students as outlined in the recruitment annual strategic plan
Represent the University professionally, ethically and accurately when interfacing with all internal and external customers
Evaluate potential of trade show attendance and decide upon feasibility of representation of Worldwide
Coordinate trade show coverage and Worldwide representation
Coordinate logistics and travel to represent ERAU at trade shows
Generate an increase of quality enrollment through recruitment efforts
Evaluate efficacy of marketing tools and make decisions recommending improved strategies
Assist with the development and coordination of recruitment material and mailings
Help develop recruitment plans and analyze enrollment trends

Responsibilties also include the following:
Provide guidance to student assistants as required
Review Enrollment Operations Center interactions upon request
Provide knowledge and support to the Enrollment Coaches at the EOC
Provide knowledge and support to ERAU faculty and staff
Provide back-up in the event of an SEC team member absence
Monthly Initiatives Board update
Other tasks as determined by Manager or Director, Enrollment Operations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of excellence in customer service and 2 years of recruitment experience
Proven track record for consistently meeting deadlines
Dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with professional recruitment experience in higher education
Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications to include oracle software, instant messenger applications, and Salesforce
Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
High standard of personal conduct, professionalism, and integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality is vital
Ability to provide excellent customer service to coworkers, staff, students, faculty, and customers
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with supervisor, team, management and others at all times
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a willingness to seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties
Excellent organizational skills
Keen attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy of all content
Ability to recognize and deal with priorities, recognize and perform duties not directly assigned
Ability to learn new tasks and keep up with the pace of changing technology
Ability to investigate, problem solve, and take corrective action
Ability to tactfully handle difficult situations and maintain composure under pressure, often under tight deadlines
