Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  •    Supervise, motivate and evaluate the professional, para-professional and the Admissions Operations staff
  •  Develop policies and procedures to enhance recruitment, admissions, and retention of students
  •  Develop and lead an aggressive recruitment plan that encompasses all areas of student recruitment including traditional, nontraditional, transfer and international students
  •  Oversee an annual budget, and is responsible for the daily operations of the admissions office, student tour guides and the plam1ing and implementing on campus events
  •  Manage four regional admissions counselors (Alabama, California, Georgia, and Texas,)
  •  Develop, manage, and implement a plan to recruit students for the Graduate School
  •  Ensure compliance with admissions’ standards and policies, consistent with the requirements set by governing bodies of the University
  •  Develop and maintain professional relationships with school counselors, principals, and related educational agencies
  •  The candidate will need to possess knowledge of all facets of applicant data collection, processing, evaluating, and reporting activities of a university enrollment management office and can develop strong interrelationships with the university at-large, administratively, and academically
  •    Can convey complex ideas to a non-technical audience, using interpersonal and communication skills to deliver information to faculty, staff, and university officials in a clear and concise manner verbally and written will be required of the candidate
  •  Implement a system of data collection and provide relevant information pertaining to applications, admittance, territory management and support enrollment management strategies
  •  Represent the University to internal and external constituencies regarding admissions related matters
  •  Perform all other duties as assigned


  •  Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
  •    Seven years of progressively responsible experience in higher education admissions or enrollment management three of experience in management or supervision
  •  Knowledge of best practices in admissions
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to train team members, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines are all requirements of this position
  •  Ability to establish goals, structures, and processes necessary to implement a mission and strategic vision
  •  Considerable knowledge of financial aid, scholarship and registration processes are necessary
