  • Implements established components for fundraising and alumni relations programs and activities; plans, administers, and implements a well-defined or established fundraising program requiring the exercise of limited discretion and judgment.
  • Helps to research and craft initial drafts of documents related to solicitations from $100,000 to signature project naming opportunities.
  • Partner with manager and other gift officers to track completion of necessary draft communications and proposals.
  • Develops and maintains reports on program activities and results, providing information on program trends and analysis of data.
  • Prepare slides, fundraising slides, and prepare content needed for team meetings.
  • Prepares materials for specific fundraising activities and / or assists in promotional efforts such as writing, speaking, telephoning, etc., as required.
  • Coordinate, schedule and staff donor strategy meetings.
  • Ghostwrite draft thank you notes and coordinate gifts for hosts and donors.
  • With some direction, conducts research on alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations to identify prospects.
  • Proactively research and follow business news and trends. Proactively partner with manager and other development staff for donor strategy.
  • Works with other professionals to ensure predetermined fundraising goals are met.
  • Helps to track solicitation plans, help document donor outreach and develop and bring fundraising plans to success.
  • Enter reports into donor database.
  • Assists in the organizing and implementation of special events. Handles special projects / assignments involving direct interaction with alumni volunteers and donors.
  • Serve as staff support lead and liaison with the events team and other stakeholders for planning and executing principal and major gift donor events.
  • Donor Relations
  • Assist in the implementation of an integrated donor relations plan to provide appropriate stewardship for all donors with an emphasis on major and principal gift donors.
  • Provide assistance with gift agreements, acknowledgements, special correspondence and other projects as needed.
  • Regional based outreach and event-management.
  • Assistance with travel arrangements and all aspects of outreach and event management for donor and alumni relations events, including outside the Bay Area and internationally.

Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and public relations concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Skills in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues , students and team members.
  • Exemplifies Haas Defining Principles: students always, confidence w/o attitude, question the status quo, and beyond yourself.
  • Good cross-cultural communication skills and experience with other languages and cultures.
  • Exhibits good judgment, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the location, its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years of communications, development, donor relations or customer service experience.

Salary & Benefits

This is a non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience within the range of $36.64 - $43.44.
