St. Edward's University is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Involvement. The Assistant Director of Student Involvement serves as the primary advisor to the University Programming Board, that develops and implements signature university programs such as Homecoming and Topper Nights. Support over 100 student clubs and organizations, supervises student staff, manages the Student Involvement event management and reservations process, and monitoring departmental information on web and social media.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in college student personnel, education, or related field.
Minimum of one year of fulltime experience in Student Activities, Student Involvement and Engagement or related areas. Two years of graduate experience equals one year of fulltime experience. Evidence of advising and/or supervisory experience is required. Must possess an unencumbered driver's license and the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check

  • Oversee the student programming functional area of Student Involvement which includes: recruiting, training, and supervising the University Programming Board, a chartered student organization within Student Involvement, which is charged with the development and implementation of high impact programs and events that support the university well-being initiative.
  • Including but not limited to: Homecoming, Hillfest, and Topper Nights.
  • Oversee the student organization functional area of Student Involvement which includes over 100 student organizations. Responsible for the administration of student organizations including managing a student organization directory and event management software, student organization finances, recruitment, training, and supervision the Student Involvement coordinators and their related events:
  • Including but not limited to: Involvement Fairs, Student Leader Awards, and state-mandated student organization training.
  • Provide secondary support for Student Involvement programs such as Orientation, Anchors, Family Weekend, etc.
  • Co-lead Student Involvement student leaders training and development that supports holistic student wellbeing.
  • Share responsibility and work collaboratively to develop partnerships with various campus entities in support of student involvement and engagement opportunities.
  • Provide leadership to various University, Divisional, or Office committees as assigned.
  • Manage robust communication efforts via web, text message, email marketing and social media in support of the University Programming Board, student organizations, and the Student Involvement Office.
  • Work with the Director to execute student engagement tracking, student learning outcomes and program evaluation and assessment.
  • Oversee multiple budgets including chartered and recognized student organizations, as well as budget assigned by Student Involvement.
  • Option to possibly live in on campus housing and support residential students
  • Other duties as required.
