The Office of Residential Life & Learning (ORLL) supports dynamic co-curricular learning and engagement for all undergraduate and graduate students living on campus within the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Engineering, and Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. The Department partners closely with colleagues across the Division of Student Affairs and with other University-wide departments (including Community Relations, Public Safety, Residential Facilities and Operations, Office of General Counsel, Office of Equal Opportunity, and the University Chaplaincy) on a wide variety of campus programs and initiatives. The Department builds programs and policies that foster community, promote citizenship, and provide students with a residential experience that is a mission-critical component of their education at Tufts.
The Assistant Director (AD) for Residential Operations promotes and supports a thriving residential community on the Tufts campus through effective management of all operational aspects of student on-campus housing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the joint oversight of key areas of housing facilities management along with the Associate Director for Residential Operations. The Assistant Director maintains relationships with key on- and off-campus partners on two Tufts University campuses, directly manages the housing operations for Conference & Event Services and Break/Interim Housing, assists the Associate Director with ongoing campus construction and deferred maintenance projects, as well as key management. Acts as main point of contact for campus colleagues involved in facilities oversight and general residence hall upkeep and serves as a member of the Office of Residential Life and Learning (ORLL) Central Staff.
