The Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life prepares Tufts University students to become active citizens and community leaders. Tisch College is a national leader in civic education, whose model and research are setting the standard for higher education’s role in civic engagement. Serving every student at Tufts University, Tisch College works to engage Tufts students in meaningful community building and public service experiences. As an innovator and incubator, Tisch College collaborates across the university to generate an enduring culture of active citizenship. Reporting to the Director of Tisch Programs, the Associate Director of Tisch Programs will drive the development and delivery of a portfolio of student programs aligned with the mission of Tisch College. As a member of the Student Programming team, the Associate Director will lead strategic planning, management, and ensure the overall quality of signature programs and emerging new opportunities. This includes existing programs such as the Tisch Scholars Program, the Tisch Summer Fellows, Leadership for Social Change, and Student Affiliate Groups. They will work to advance student development and to promote a learning environment dedicated to our community principles of respect, civil discourse, inclusion, and service learning. The Associate Director will convene various groups and stakeholders to develop innovative and progressive campus programming and education models which facilitate dialogue, connection, and provide opportunities to reflect on experiences of difference.
