The Director will be responsible for providing effective managerial support to the Bursar; will be responsible for the operational functions and Staff of the Largo and Adelphi Customer Relations teams; will oversee the Collections Unit at Adelphi; will oversee the disenrollment process and implementation of Touchnet Bill & Payment Suite; and, will serve as a key management resource for the implementation of the OSA DMS system.
The Director will report to the Bursar.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Providing managerial support to Bursar, representing the interests of OSA in meetings with other Department Operational Leaders
• Responsible for the effective management of operational functions and Staff of the Customer Relations teams at Largo and Adelphi, establishing and maintaining close relationships with external vendor for OSA calls and being responsible for resolving all student escalations requiring management intervention
• Overseeing the collections unit at Adelphi, including disenrollment and the implementation of Touchnet Bill and Payment Suite. Also, serving as key management resource for the implementation of the OSA DMS system and creating close working relationships with counterparts overseas, to ensure worldwide compliance of collection efforts
• Performing other job related duties, as assigned
Travel is required.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and (4) years of progressively responsible experience in management (within an accounting or finance office), including at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Prefer candidates with experience in a Bursar or Financial Aid Office. Also, requires good understanding of OSA policies and processes, as well as regulatory and compliance practices; above average knowledge of student financials functionality in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; ability to interface effectively with all levels of management; excellent problem solving, project management, customer service, team building, organizational and interpersonal skills; demonstrated high level of initiative; and, strong management and supervisory skills.
