Auburn Advancement and the College of Liberal Arts are excited to begin the search for a Development Officer to join our development team! The ideal candidate is self-motivated, metrics driven, and possesses an innate ability to get things done. As a Development Professional, you will have the opportunity to travel extensively and conduct face-to-face visits with alumni and supporters. This position helps connect these individuals back to the College and University in a philanthropic way that is meaningful to them, while making an everlasting impact at Auburn University. This position is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects. The individual should be a team player who can manage their own job duties and responsibilities, but is willing to assist with special projects, initiatives, events and other duties as necessary. The College of Liberal Arts is a compilation of nearly 20 very diverse departments and programs. Some of these diverse programs include Aviation, Arts History, Music, Political Science, Theatre & Dance, World Languages, Literatures and Cultures, etc. This multifarious college is led by Dean Jason Hicks, a scholar in human memory, who upon stepping into this role, outlined four strategic priorities to move the college forward. These included maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment, elevating the college’s research enterprise, professional development for faculty and staff, and strengthening student success.
