Job Description

 

TITLE:                        Manager of Systems Integration Technology

 

LOCATION:               1 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken, NJ 07030

 

DUTIES:

Manage computing and networking infrastructure of a state-of-the-art analytics laboratory. Supervise and direct activities of the Graduate Assistant (GA) employees in the Hanlon Laboratories. Maintain and develop applications for storage, computational and virtual servers, and for computing infrastructure pertaining to the Hanlon Laboratory. Oversee the GA’s work to support faculty with synchronous live remote instruction, hybrid, simultaneous in-person and remote instruction, and traditional, in-person, classroom instructions. Conduct research projects and support research collaborations with faculty and external academic, corporate, and government partners in the Hanlon Financial Systems Center. Provide information technology services including infrastructure, software, and internal and external databases for research and classroom instructions; Provide information technology services to the Hanlon Financial Systems Center (HFSC) including infrastructure, software, and internal and external databases to enable leading-edge research activities. Provide information technology support for the School of Business. Incorporate and provide information security to the HFSC information technology systems and ensure security of data through connections to internal and external networks. maintain and develop applications for storage, computational, and virtual servers on a Linux operating system utilizing SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Hadoop, and programming languages, including C++, C#, JAVA, and Python. Utilize PHP and Apache for web development and perform configuration and setup in a virtual machine environment. Provide weekly reports on development activities and prepare and deliver presentations. Participate in lab projects involving server and client development. Utilize Cloud Services including, Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud Services to secure services and provide development support; design and write automated scripts to backup and synchronize computers utilizing Programming Languages including C++, C#, Shell Script, Python, and SQL; utilize virtualization environments to create and manage virtual machines, including VMware ESXI and Virt-Manager; integrate Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) devices; perform data security through connections to internal and external networks; utilize software systems including, Linux/Unix, Windows, and MacOS; build and configure hardware and server components.

 

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Must have gained 3 years of progressively responsible experience in the following: Providing information technology services including infrastructure, software, and internal and external databases for research and classroom instruction; maintaining data security through connections to internal and external networks; designing and writing automated scripts to backup and synchronize computers utilizing Programming Languages including C++, C#, Shell Script, Python, and SQL; utilizing Cloud Services including Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Services to secure services and provide development support; utilizing virtualization environments to create and manage virtual machines, including VMware ESXI and Virt-Manager; and integrating Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) devices.

 

*Remote Work available 2 days per week.
