Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Director responsible for supervising the Faculty Quality Management area within the Department of Online Education. The Quality Management team provides mentorship, quality control, as well as assistance in the resolution of faculty/student issues. The team annually assists over 1,000 faculty members. This position researches and recommends solutions for faculty issues, and will elevate issues to the College Deans and Vice Chancellor as necessary. This position interacts daily with faculty members, Program Chairs, Department Chairs, and Deans to ensure academic excellence. The Director is responsible for ensuring annual adjunct faculty observations/evaluations are completed for our Academic colleges.
This position is also accountable for annual performance evaluations and daily personnel performance (coaching and mentoring) for 7 direct reports. Oversees the interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff. Works cooperatively with constituents from other departments and represents the Department of Online Education as a leader. In particular, this position in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor will oversee the strategic planning and operations of the faculty quality management team as well as assist our colleges with faculty oversight. Additionally, this position will assist with student grievances, ad hoc committees, and faculty issues. The Director position requires a strong technical skillset to ensure process efficiency and will develop/update processes regularly with the assistance of IT. Coordinates with the Vice Chancellor in determining monthly and yearly faculty targets to ensure effective faculty capacities. Furthermore, is accountable for obtaining departmental targets in new faculty as well as faculty quality oversight. Participates in development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans.

Ph.D. or other doctorate level equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years of work related experience
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, LMS systems, and Internet end-user applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, students, and faculty
