Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Director of Corporate Engagement to support all three of our campuses.  The position will be located in Daytona Beach at our 185-acre eastern campus is home to NASCAR’s Daytona 500 and "The World’s Most Famous Beach." The campus serves a diverse student body of approximately 5,100 undergrads and over 500 graduate students from 50 states and nearly 100 countries.The Director of Corporate Engagement is a newly created position to the University.  The Director will provide leadership, direction and strategic initiative implementation for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University system comprised of three campuses – Daytona Beach, FL, Prescott, AZ, and Worldwide-for  the purpose of: (A) establishing new corporate relationships and (B) enhancing existing ones to connect and facilitate relationship opportunities with ERAU’s student recruitment, research, career, executive education, commercialization/intellectual property, and economic development.This position serves as the Point of Contact (POC) for the University system and endorses the concept of ERAU providing "one-stop shopping" for companies-ensuring that both the University system and the companies are aware of ongoing conversations, support-worthy projects, professorial research, new University centers, events, and future plans, student access, and campus tours, which fulfill Embry Riddle’s strategic vision. 

It is expected that the Director of Corporate Engagement maintain connections across the University system, to articulate the value proposition of the University, to work with all parties to develop collaborations that support the mission of each partner, to identify and match the company’s strategic needs with the university strengths, and to listen to all stakeholders-helping to identify shared goals and design projects that create mutually beneficial outcomes. Such outcomes will be measured in the quantity and quality of corporate internships realized for the system; an increased number of executive education training opportunities, additional research funding, expanded licensing revenue, greater event funding/sponsorship for events related and connected to the corporate engagement strategy, an enhanced number of workshops/courses/programming for both traditional and nontraditional students through continued education resulting from the partnerships made or enhanced by the position. The individual is expected to shepherd the partnerships from inception through development of the partnership details.The qualitative and quantitative goals will be established on an annual basis, by the successful candidate’s supervisor-with input from the Senior Vice Presidents and Chancellors who will participate in the annual evaluation process of the Director of Corporate Engagement by providing input and feedback to the immediate supervisor regarding the interaction of the Director with the respective areas and the goals obtained in the fiscal year.  Travel to corporate partner sites, relevant trade show representation event attendance-as appropriate-will be required. He/she will serve on various university committees as designated by the supervisor, to foster cooperation and understanding across the University system in the realm of corporate relations and community partnerships.  

He/she will work closely with ERAU Career Services-on all campuses—within the system to ensure that the necessary industry career expos reflect the current companies and identified companies, which ERAU has in mind for strategic purposes.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirector of Corporate Engagement reports to the Senior VP for Administration. All individuals at ERAU with corporate engagement as part of their responsibility (partial or full) with have a dotted-line reporting structure to the Director of Corporate Engagement through participation in a Corporate Engagement Coordinating Group (CECG) that will be chaired by the Director. All ERAU corporate engagement strategy, policy and practice will be developed through the CECG.
