Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University announces an interesting opportunity within the Worldwide Campus Department of Administration and Business Operations, reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Chief Business Officer. The Grants Specialist will assist ERAU-W leadership and faculty to support their research needs.  ERAU-W emphasizes interdisciplinary research collaborations with an emphasis on workforce development, student learning, persistence, retention, and overall success.This position requires demonstrated knowledge of international, national, regional, and state funding directorates, skill in budgeting and budget reconciliation, compliance, and corporate/industry agreements. The Grants Specialist will assist ERAU-W in identifying possible external funding opportunities and provide support during the planning of research and grant projects.

Further, the Grants Specialist will provide writing support through assisting in initial development of drafts as well as refinement of proposals to external sponsoring agencies. The Grants Specialist will work closely with ERAU-W Associate Deans for Research and Research Chairs to support faculty research initiatives, proposal entry, and proposal submission. A central responsibility of the Grants Specialist is budget advisement, management, and set-up in the pre-award and post-award phases of sponsored-research projects. The Grants Specialist will work closely with the Department of State Authorizations & Workforce Development to identify and determine eligibility for Workforce Development grant opportunities.  The Grants Specialist will support Workforce Development grant initiatives, through development of proposal structure, tracking, research, writing, budget development, and submission.  The Grants Specialist must track and adhere to all applicable deadlines.  The Grants Specialist acts as a liaison between the ERAU Office of Sponsored Research and ERAU-W leadership, faculty, offices of research, and centers. The Grants Specialist position is important in providing fundamental support in pursuing priority research initiatives for ERAU-W. In addition to grant writing, providing budget support, and identification of funding opportunities, the Grants Specialist will assist in supporting other priority initiatives that materialize.
