The Kean Highlands campus gives students from many disciplines the opportunity to study and conduct research in the beautiful ecological environment of the New Jersey Highlands. Kean Highlands sits on 40 acres of protected land that serve as an outdoor laboratory for experiential learning in a pristine setting in Jefferson Township, New Jersey. The University is revitalizing the property to launch degree-completion programs on site. The degree-completion programs are designed for area residents who have completed an associate’s degree and wish to further their studies for a bachelor’s degree close to home. The first cohort of students is expected to enroll in fall 2019. The Campus also offers a selection of residential rooms to house pre-college summer programs, students enrolled in hybrid courses through Kean Online, as well as student and corporate retreats.

Under the direction of the University’s Special Counsel and Vice President of Planning, the Director of Operations (Director II) organizes, plans and directs development, funding and operations of Kean Highlands and the integration of related academic programs, research, operations, financial management, legal issues and student affairs. This is a full-time position located at the Highlands campus in Jefferson Township, New Jersey. Travel is required to the Union campus.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and four years of significant professional experience in management and administration is required. Master’s degree and project management experience is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
