Under the supervision of the Director of Help Desk/IT Operations, the Database Administrator manages all database administration functions that support the University’s production databases as well as other supporting systems; participates in the development and effectuation of goals, policies and procedures for database management which involves development of office policies and procedures; and does related work as required. Primary database systems to support will be MS SQL and UniData and the Database Administrator will manage all technical activities for a relational database to consist of system and application software upgrades, performance analysis, record archival, tuning and user maintenance.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience as a database administrator is required. Bachelor’s degree in a computer discipline and certification is preferred. Prior experience as a database administrator with MS SQL and UniData expertise is also preferred.
