The College of Aviation is currently accepting applications for the position of Flight Training Standardization Manager in the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) program at our Daytona Beach Campus.
 
The UAS Flight Training Standardization Manager supervises the development of flight training lessons and standard operating procedures for use in the UAS program. The manager will instruct students on the fundamentals of Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aircraft System and Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS). The manager will supervise flight instructors and work with instructional designers for the development of lesson-ware.
 
The UAS Flight Training Standardization Manager will:

Manage flight lesson instruction for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) operations and Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aircraft Systems to include flight and sensor operations
Prepare flight lesson courseware for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) operations and Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aircraft Systems to include flight and sensor operations
Maintain the UAS aircraft and support equipment in an operational status, including all maintenance records and filing required FAA and other reports as necessary.  
Facilitate UAS laboratory based research.
Supervises assigned student assistants and flight instructors.
Plan, conduct, and supervise all UAS flight operations for the BSUASS programs, including supervision of UAS flight instructors and student assistants.
