Project Lead The Way Program Manager

Department: STEM Education Center

Position Status: Administrative Exempt Positions

Basic Function:

The program manager is responsible for the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) affiliate programs at WPI. Running the annual Core Training and state PLTW conference are the primary components.
This is a full time position, requiring 40 hours/week.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering the annual PLTW core training for teachers. This includes managing the registration, materials, invoicing, and communication with attendees.
  • Planing and delivering the annual PLTW state conference.
  • Support the PLTW Affiliate Director with on-going training for MA PLTW teachers.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in science, engineering, or mathematics.
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing projects and organizing group events.
  • A strong interest in education.
  • Working knowledge Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • The ability to prioritize duties, communicate well, work independently and exercise good judgment, are essential.
