OK, need some help on this one. I'm not sure how I phrase this on my CV-- when I was a graduate student in an MA program I would list my anticipated graduation date. However, now I no longer am in graduate school, and did not finish my thesis. I did do all my classes and exams, though. How would I list this on my CV? I've never seen anyone's CV who was in a situation as mine. Only thing I can think of is perhaps to say "MA candidate" and list the dates I attended. Does that make it clear I did not receive the degree? Any other suggestions?

I have my CV posted on the site now, without any such designation, and I think it sounds like I received the MA. To make it clear I uploaded my transcripts as well, but I don't want anyone to get the impression that I'm trying to misrepresent myself.

Thanks so much,
Stefanie

Just list the courses that you took and passed. Is there an impediment to your retroactively submitting a thesis?

Thanks for your reply.

List the classes, really? I took 65 credits as a gread student! Guess i could just list the most important ones...

As for submitting the thesis now-- I left school 10 years ago. They won't accept one now.

My friend has a similar situation and writes, for instance: MArch EBT, (Everything But Thesis). He said he has seen this used quite often.
